OrgPlus Enterprise now enables HR managers at PZ Cussons, makers of well-known UK brands Imperial Leather, Morning Fresh and other personal hygiene and household products, to audit and validate its data accuracy, ensuring the right staff are shown reporting to the right person.

In fact, visual charts have helped HR identify “orphans” — those individuals shown as not reporting to anyone — and reduce those incidences from 20% to just 2%.

Better Visualization

“We wanted to be able to display our organization in visual charts, not just for the managers and the HR team, but also to provide an overview for employees across the organization,” says Sally Knill, Global Reward Director for PZ Cussons, a 4,000-strong global enterprise that operates in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Leveraging Oracle

PC Cussons adopted OrgPlus Enterprise based on a recommendation from Oracle, whose Oracle On Demand HR solution populates HR data in OrgPlus Enterprise.

Down the road, PZ Cussons is also implementing Blueprint, our interactive modeling module for OrgPlus Enterprise, to help plan acquisitions and merger activity. Further, at a strategic level, PZ plans to use OrgPlus Enterprise to develop succession and talent management plans to address business continuity risks.

That’s Ryan Kandel, director of the HR Service Center for bio and pharmaceutical services provider Quintiles, discussing his company’s implementation of OrgPlus Enterprise in Talent Magazine.

Before OrgPlus Enterprise, “dozens of [Quintiles] administrators across the globe were spending a great amount of time manually creating and updating Excel-based charts on a weekly, and sometimes daily, basis,” he says. “In addition to wanting to relieve administrators of these time-consuming burdens, the company wanted a tool that could quickly visualize accurate and up-to-date data from its previous system.”

Large clothing retailer, Burlington Coat Factory, recently selected OrgPlus Enterprise to provide deeper insight into its 4,000 person workforce and help plan for and action workforce change.
